Irina Veramidis, MEd, LPC

Therapist

Reaching out for therapy takes courage, and I’m glad you’re here. I offer a warm, safe, nonjudgmental space where you can share your story, reflect, and explore your experiences while honoring your resilience, complexity, and capacity for growth.

With deep respect for your intersecting identities and lived experiences, I help you understand how emotional responses and coping patterns shaped by life events, including those that once served a protective purpose, may now feel limiting. Together, we explore how these patterns have impacted your brain, body, and beliefs, and gently work to realign them in support of a more integrated and authentic sense of self.

This collaborative process fosters increased emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and a stronger sense of safety and self-trust. Our work may focus on reducing trauma-related distress, developing grounding and coping skills, strengthening self-compassion, and helping you feel more present and empowered in your life, always at a pace that feels right for you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. I provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapy for adults 18 and older, integrating Relational Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment-based work, and psychodynamic principles.

I work with individuals navigating complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and phase-of-life concerns, and have a special interest in supporting women, young adults, and first- and second-generation individuals balancing multiple cultural identities.

If you’re interested in exploring therapy with me, I would be honored to meet you and see if we’re a good fit.
